Elaine Oswald, RN, CHT a Certified Mind / Body Educator and Yoga Nidra Facilitator / Holistic Nurse

When I started my journey as a registered nurse more than 20 years ago, I didn't realize the impact I would make on others – and them on me. In my heart, I knew there was much more to life and to us as human beings but until I truly opened my eyes I didn't fully embrace it. It began with caring for patients who overcame odds that to a "normal" thinking mind would be impossible. Thanks to these inspiring individuals, I started to understand that the impossible is possible. In studying these unique cases, I noticed that what determined the extraordinary outcomes of the patients' health and wholeness went far beyond mere will and determination: their power relied on faith, belief, trust, and surrender to a deeper/divine wisdom. Although I have witnessed patients make full recoveries through strong determination and will alone, I noticed that this method depleted energy, making it a tougher road to travel. These miraculous events inspired me to explore the realm of mind, body, and spirit, and their connection to each other. My biggest shift occurred when I became aware that the qualities I saw in patients – the ones that led them to profound healing experiences, could be taught/learned, experienced, nurtured, and embraced by others. Before I knew it I was immersing myself in workshops and training courses facilitated by some of the top pioneers and expert leaders in the field today. By setting out to support and encourage health and wellness for my patients, friends, and family, I wound up with life- enriching experiences and healing as well.

Currently, I continue to follow my life's calling to teach, mentor, and support others in their own self-discovery and watch miracles happen. Everyone can wholeheartedly transform their life and create the life they're meant to live. By allowing ourselves to completely let go of the things that no longer serve us and embrace the unknown we can clearly open a path for transformation. My observations have led me to believe people want health, joy, and balance in their lives – they simply lack the tools they need to skillfully create their desired results. This has encouraged me to move forward to offer various Mind/Body modalities, combining humor with scientific data to effectively inspire and support individuals with acute and chronic illnesses, addictions, pain, self-sabotaging habits, and other life challenges. My focus is on a holistic approach, where I utilize integrative therapies as a vehicle for mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual wellbeing. I nurture my practice and teachings with continued studies in Jnana Yoga, Ayurveda, Qigong, and Mind/Body methods to maintain balance for optimal living. The use of this profound wisdom elevates my students' consciousness to a higher level, empowering them to live life more fully, spontaneously, and effortlessly.

My passion for teaching how our thoughts and emotions affect our bodies inspired me to travel and learn more about the ancient teachings and traditions in the Amazon and Peru, where I studied with Shamans and Medicine men. In my quest to achieve a deeper level of personal development, I also traveled to Rishikesh, India, where I experienced profound healing in this mystical land.

With deepest gratitude, I acknowledge all of my teachers: Deepak Chopra, M.D.; David Simon, M.D.; Debbie Ford; Amrit Desai; David Brown; and Paramahansa Yogananda, Self-Realization Fellowship.
